This New Wolfram Language Will Change the World

The WolframAlpha Programming Language

Check out this new programming language from WolframAlpha. If you haven’t seen the video yet, here it is:

What does this mean?

The possibilities are endless. As a programming language, the Wolfram language is incredibly easy to pick up, being symbolic and visually focused, while also integrating an incredible array of data, computing resources, libraries and APIs which allow new programmers to create incredibly complex programs with very little effort.

Time will tell where this leads to, but it has been clear that a development of this sort was inevitable. In the future, computer programming will most likely be entirely visual, with user interfaces that allow you to essentially drag and drop to create programs. The next step would be converting actual verbal instructions directly into computer code (which is already happening, just not to the degree that is possible).

What do you guys think? What do you think is the future of programming?
