The Creative Challenge (Day 14)

Day14_Thumb4

Week two down.

It’s been two weeks since the start of the creative challenge. Ideas are getting harder and harder to come by. Today I decided to post a project I’ve been hired to work on for a certain software company. I’m not going to post any specifics or the actual render I created for copyright reasons, but these modified screenshots certainly give the gist of the project.

Does this count as a creative project?

Why not? The specifications of the project were extremely loose. I basically got a call to create a 6-8 second intro for a specific brand. No images were provided, very little guidance. They basically just let me at it. I was pleased with the end result, finishing the initial mockup render in just 2 hours and sending it off to the producer. In the world of corporate graphics, there can often be little room for creativity. Striving for something both beautiful and utilitarian in can sometimes be a great struggle. You sometimes just have to suck it up and go for it.
